Curriculum
With over 20 years of experience, our caring and highly qualified educators will nurture, educate and watch-over your child. We will provide them with the foundations for all future learning and support them to have the best start in life.
Our aim
At St. Mary’s Early Learning we ensure the developmental and educational needs of all children are met through our daily operation and programs. We nurture them to become successful learners in their environment at their own pace.
Early childhood (0-5 years) is the most important period for a child’s brain development and setting learning patterns, as well as dispositions. Therefore, our curriculum fosters children’s interests and abilities, through providing play-based learning with challenging opportunities, which will help them develop an interest for learning.
Our program
Based on the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and children learning through play, we have designed our program with a focus on the 5 key learning outcomes:
Children have a strong sense of identity
Children are connected with and contribute to their world
Children have a strong sense of well being
Children are confident and involved learners
Children are effective communicators.
“The 5 learning outcomes are broad and observable. They acknowledge that children learn in a variety of ways and vary in their capabilities and pace of learning. Over time children engage with increasingly complex ideas and learning experiences, which are transferable to other situations.” – EYLF 2009.

Daily routine
Our programs aim to teach children and develop their skills through play as well as intentional teaching opportunities.
Our centres have a flexible routine, which means we support the children’s interests without hurrying them. Everyone is encouraged to complete their task at their own preferred pace. If a child would like to remain indoors for free play, we allow them to do so, though ensure there are gross motor opportunities indoors to create an equal time of active play.
Our program aims to teach children and develop their skills through play as well as intentional teaching opportunities. Family input and feedback is also vital for our program, to ensure we are forming strong links between home and the early childhood setting.
